LBSNAA (‘Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administer) to complete three months of foundation course ration, ‘National Institute of Financial Management’ in Faridabad to complete 15 months of customs and excise training, and ‘National Academy of Direct Taxes’ in Nagpur to complete 15 months of income tax training. IRS officials are paid according to the Indian Act’s 7th pay commission structure. IRS selection is based on completing the Civil Services Examination (CSE). It is a three-stage competitive selection procedure that includes a primary test, a preliminary examination, and an interview.

In India, the IRS designation

After the IAS, IPS, and IFS, the Indian Revenue Service is the fourth most regarded administrative officer. The IRS is organised into two branches: Customs and Central Excise and Income Tax.
